Hi, I'm Neva! I love design and developing creative, user-centered solutions.
Coming from a Human Services background, I am now beginning my transition into the field of Graphic Design. With my strong foundation in analytical and interpersonal skills built from my Bachelor's degree in Psychology, I bring a distinctive perspective into the field of Graphic Design which allows me to solve problems from a different angle.
In my previous role in the Human Services field as a Case Manager, I provided individuals with person-centered care and support in reaching their goals to achieve personal wellness and improve their lives. In this work I have demonstrated skills in communication, collaboration, advocacy, problem-solving, brainstorming, time-management, and project management.
While I am currently a student pursuing an Associate of Fine Arts in Graphic and Web Design, I have identified my greatest strengths to be Illustration and Motion Graphics (head to my Instagram, linked at the bottom, to see more of my Motion Graphic work). I have developed a personal style evident in the work I have displayed here, and I am eager to build upon it in order to tailor individual projects to the specific needs of clients. The themes present in my work include bright and bold colors, scenic imagery, and stark, evocative contrasts. The illustration I enjoy most could be described as ethereal, surreal, "trippy," and often includes cats and space.
I am looking forward to collaborating with prospective clients and organizations to build my design skills, gain new experiences, and expand my horizons!
